June 2013

Josh turned seven!!  We opened gifts and then went to the Nashville Zoo.
We enjoyed the great weather with some backyard smores.

Jarod started to enjoy playing trains.
We had our first swim of the season.  It was cold!!

The ward had a BBQ and field games.  It was a lot of fun!
It took a little time to make good friends like we had in California.  It was okay, since it gave us the excuse to spend lots of time together as a family.  The kids love playing games as a family.

It was such a novelty seeing bunnies running in the yard all the time.  For months we would exclaim and run to watch them at the windows.  Little Jarod loves to chase them.
Another thing that took some getting used to was the crazy weather! We've seen some scary skies here.
There are great parks and hiking trails in Murfreesboro.

One morning the kids all came downstairs for breakfast wearing their cowboy hats.  It was hilarious.

We took a day trip to Fall Creek Falls for a family hike.  It was a very steep hike that wasn't so bad going down...

We couldn't get over how green and beautiful Tennessee is.  Such a stark difference from Bakersfield!

Jack lost his first tooth!

I turned 30 while Jarod was out of town for work.  Kathleen ordered these amazing cookies for my birthday!!
Mama and Papa Skinner came to Tennessee so that I could drive them to West Virginia for Uncle Lisle's funeral.  When we got back to Murfreesboro, they spent a couple weeks with us.  We went to the Nashville Science Center.

We had water fights and dinner in the backyard.

We went to the Hermitage in Nashville.
We also went to the Tennessee Aquarium in Chattanooga.

We had Robins make a nest in the tree on the front of the house.  Every time we opened the front door we got dive bombed by birds.
