Jarod turned 30 yesterday, and now I feel like I'm living with an old man. Carly loves birthdays and when she saw me making a cake, she was excited to celebrate Daddy's birthday. She called him several times while he was out to lunch with this buddies to sing "Happy Birthday" to him. I think throughout the day she probably ended up singing to him seven or eight times. On Sunday we celebrated with a marble cake with my folks, and last night I made a cheesecake for him. Carly thought it was weird that Daddy's birthday lasted two days, when everyone else is just one.

I keep hearing that 30 is the new 20, right? Maybe that's just other people's way of making me feel better, or making myself feel better about soon moving on into another DECADE!!! YIKES!
