For a play date a week or so ago we tie dyed, and by we, I mean myself and Chloe's mom, Kesha. Chloe is the little girl that lives next door, that Carly adores. I can't pull up to the house without the kids wanting to run next door and see Chloe. It's great, because now I have adult conversations on an almost daily basis. I forgot to take pictures while we were in the process of dying, but did take some of the finished products. Now that we've tried this once, we know how to do it better next time. The shirts looked really vibrant and pretty before washing and drying, but I think they still turned out well, and Carly isn't very critical of my work....yet...I'll give it another year or so.

you better watch out because jack's behind picture looks a little risque! i think you have a male model on your hands. at least he is really really really ridiculous good looking.
ReplyDeletebut seriously, awesome tie dye! i had a slight obsession with the art last summer and threatened kyle with a tie dye tie but finding white ties isn't the easiest thing in the world.
and NOT a funny joke. i'm pretty sure you are just trying to ease us into the pregnancy thing.
BUT! if it is a joke i am going to seriously punish you and when we do eventually have a baby you are going to find out via blog or worse FACEBOOK! no courtesy of a phone call!!! take that!
P.S. i am thinking you need to do a tie dye theme christmas card this year
ReplyDeleteTo comment on Kathleen's comment: Come to Utah Valley, you can find white ties anywhere ... especially White Elegance. But your tie-dying activity sounded so fun, I'm impressed. VERY CUTE clothes.
ReplyDeletecute onesies and shirts! y'all must have had fun! typically if you want the color to hold, you can soak the shirt for a few hours in vinegar... but you probably already knew that... there's a tip if ya didn't though!
